Nancy Woods

Nancy WoodsNancy Woods, after graduating from The California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland California in 1972, started a graphics and sign company in 1978 specializing in small business brand identity through logo design, and the creation of collateral materials and signage.

Nancy served on the Civil Grand Jury in San Mateo County in 1993 for a term of one year, heading up the group responsible for inspecting the Board of Education and the Board of Human Resources.

She volunteered with the Special Olympics in the 1980s and worked with the Stanford Children’s Hospital until 2001.

Nancy has served on a corporate board of directors from her summer home in Forestville California for 6-year term developing a proactive approach to wildland safety in the redwoods, working with the local Forestville fire captain and the Sonoma County Cal Fire group.

Currently, Nancy has an artist studio at the Peninsula Museum of Art in Burlingame California. She created all the signage for the museum and studios inside and out and does all the signage for incoming shows on an ongoing basis.

She joined the Silicon Valley Visual Arts group board in 2014 and works in various capacities. Her interests here include educating emerging artists about the various opportunities provided by the Silicon Valley Open Studios organization including helping them to sell their works and grow as professional artists.
