Nancy Hall

Medium: Assembly, Collage, Installation Art

“Real magic is at the core of assemblage artist Nancy Hall’s process and philosophy that objects are alive with story and purpose, and that the relationship to any one piece will deepen over time as it reveals itself. As a child she loved to hide in the cupboards of her grandmother’s San Francisco flat, marveling at the beautiful depth of the mahogany.”

Exhibiting her art on SVOS Weekend #1, May 7-8, 2022 at Site #268 (Sanchez At Center) in Pacifica.

“I’m excited to be part of SVOS along with my fellow artists at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica (SAC). SAC is a truly grassroots art center created by artists and members of the community. We transformed a closed, dilapidated elementary school into a thriving, first-class art center with 30 artist studios, 3 galleries, and a concert hall on-site. I’ve been creating and selling unique, ready to hang, art glass windows unlike any you’ve seen before. I also have paintings and prints that have been exhibited in California and Canada. I share my studio with the renowned Nancy Hall, an Assemblage artist. Our studio is something to see.”

“Born in Munich, Germany, I live now on the beautiful coast in Montara. After a fulfilling career in computer science I now realize my dream of working with precious metals. Strong influences from European art inspire my work. My wonderful teacher Davide Bigazzi, the Revere Academy in San Francisco, the Crucible in Oakland, and the support of my husband and friends enable me to create joy with silver, wool, and resin to make your eyes smile.”

Exhibiting at SVOS Weekend #1, May 7-8, 2022 at Site #349 in Montara and Weekend #2, May 14-15 at Site #130 in Los Altos.
