Solo Exhibit at Gallery9 in Los Altos

January 30 – February 25, 2024

“Watercolor in Love,” is an exploration of the vibrant relationship between artist and medium. Through this collection, Gallery 9´s featured artist Mami Weber invites you to witness the enchanting dance of colors and forms that emerges when passion meets watercolor. “In each piece, I surrender to the collaborative magic of watercolor — a medium that breathes life into my artistic vision”, says Weber.

A watercolor artist born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. her Japanese heritage deeply influences her artwork, infusing it with a unique perspective and cultural richness. As both a watercolor artist and teacher, she is captivated by the medium’s lightness and its capacity for free-flowing expression.

My love for watercolor stems from its inherent fluidity, allowing me to explore the delicate dance between color and water on paper. Through my art, I seek to capture the essence of this medium, embracing its spontaneous and ethereal nature.

Nature serves as a profound inspiration for me. From the vibrant hues of blooming flowers to the tranquil landscapes, I strive to convey the beauty and harmony found in the natural world. Each brushstroke becomes a celebration of the interconnectedness between my Japanese roots and the universal language of art.
